The Denver Coliseum played host to this year's Lowrider Tour stop, put together with the help of sponsors UTI and the U.S. Air Force. Over 10,000 spectators came out to see Denver's finest. With plenty of radio airtime and support, the line to get into this one-day event was huge. The indoor and outdoor event that held over 400 of the Midwest's best rides, tried their luck at qualifying for the Las Vegas Super Show.
The cars at the show were off-the-hook, from the ones that were holding it down in the nice weather to the ones on the show floor. Denver's tour stop had a little bit for everyone, including Roberts Tires and Wheels in venders' row, a company that has always supported the show. Other vendors at the show were Wanted Wear, with the infamous Tomasa Garza working it, the U.S. Air Force, and latino superstar Danny Trejo, who made an appearance at a booth selling Trejo merchandise.
There were several cars at the show representing their car clubs. Rollerz Only seemed to have rolled in with the deepest cars, like Orlando Ceballo's '81 Cadillac "Game Over," along with several cars on display outside. The Majestics Car Club had cars that came from as far as Kansas City, Missouri, and Phoenix, Arizona. Fred Perez from the Old Memories Car Club had a couple of his cars out at the show, including his '50 Chevy truck "El Profe." Los Angeles Car Club tried to qualify its latest creation-Jesus Ortegas' '87 Chevrolet Monte Carlo "Strip Tease." Glen Saiz, of Pueblo, Colorado, also made an appearance, racking enough attention to win the Excellence Award with his '64 Impala "Cold Hard Cash."
The concert was off the hook once Little Rob opened up, singing some of his classic jams: "Summer Nights," "Bring out the Freak in you," "Superbad," and "Playground." Bash also dropped a few verses that rocked the crowd when he performed some of his classics, along with his latest hit "Cyclone." Both Bash and Little Rob got a lot of love in the Rockies as they tore it up for Denver. All in all it was a good show, the rain or snow that normally relates to the Rockies couldn't put a damper on the lowriding movement. Thank you guys for supporting us, we'll catch you at the next mile-high event.
